Thanks, Elliott, Jean-Claude and everybody for your tips. I hope I can
produce some day code I can show to this list... If time permits.

These tips are useful for another problem: how to dynamically create and
read structures that are given back and forth to API functions. Obviously,
the solution given by Elliott fits well here (I haven't browsed yet the URL
given by JCW). I just have to take care of alignments.

I must probably also find a way to handle call-back functions.

Elliott, even if I can work out some code from your explainations, I would
be glad to have your code as a guideline. Perhaps you have resolved some
problems I can find on my way. TIA.
