Try something like this:
temp = {a={}, b={}}
temp["a"] = {a = 0, b = 2}
temp["b"] = {a = 1, b = 0}
Or
temp = {a={}, b={}}
temp.a = {a = 0, b = 2}
temp.b = {a = 1, b = 0}
Or
temp =
{
a = {a = 0, b = 2},
b = {a = 1, b = 0}
}
