And that's exacly what leads to the problems.
My vote for long comments - if they are supported at all - is -# #-. I don't
have an international keyboard, so if that's an issue, perhaps ! or @ in
place of #.
My vote for long strings is whatever the Lua masters decide - so long as it
doesn't have nasty side-effects with long comments (if they are added).
