It isn't very surprising that it died. The lua.org site makes no mention of
it at all, whereas the first thing it mentions is the mailing list.

This argument has practically become like a linux vs windows argument, both
of which are pointless and pathetic. And I am offended by the notion that
discussion boards are solely populated by LoL'ers and script-kiddies. This
could not be further from the truth for some topics, especially technical
ones.

Ultimately the only way for either a list or a forum to succeed is for the
community to support it. For example, as a hobby I play the game Babylon 5
wars. There is a discussion board as well as a mailing list. Many people
(though not myself) are members of both. The discussions are cross-posted
onto either one from time to time. But good discussions occur on both and
both are active. That is because the community supports them.

I will offer up that while I cannot pay for hosting for a website board at
this time, I would be more than happy to assist with the administration of a
discussion board as I do so for my own.
