Hmm.. LuaX 020704 is pre-alpha, too.. :)
Honestly, I haven't been said "no" (by Lua authors) and LuaX works just
as well with 5.0, 5.1, whatever (even 4.0).
I just like to test the latest there is, so its possible to give early
feedback.

Lua 5.1? Isn't it a bit early to base a distribution on this release?
I thought it was pre-alpha.
I would stick to 5.0.2 until 5.1 becomes official (or at least beta).
