I am sure that using Lua table is not efficient for handling large arrays of vertices. In
developing the freeware zeGraph (http://www.zegraph.com/), I bound my C++ array template to
Lua and also adopted netCDF and HDF for binary array data IO. For some reasons, I could not
open the source to the community at present. But it is very easy to do that. Lua is the
simplest script language I ever known for writing extended modules.
