there was a suggestion as to why not target javascript
on parrot rather than on lua.
The answer is that there is already lua running on
parrot,as a project called monkey . see

By targeting javascript conversion to lua by McKinley,
if one wants then he can convert javascript to lua by
his project and then that lua can be compiled for
parrot by monkey. So everyone can remain happy.
