I vote for:

  o Rename 'test' to 'samples' and remove any non-5.1 samples.
  o Add a 'test' target to the build process that returns a non-zero
      exit code and prints:
        'Regression tests to be added in future release.'
  o Work on a regression test suite on the wiki until a consensus is
      reached.
