Thank you, Reuben.  You might add that io_ext depends on the posix
library (also finding it was a bit of a search as it's not in the
files section of http://luaforge.net/projects/lposix/ but rather
linked on the project home page).
Thanks for the note. Actually, I only use the parts of lposix that also work on Windows, but it seems that I'd be better off using the ex library, which I intend to do shortly.
