Out of curiosity, am I reading you right that if it is
not for the memory footprint, there is faster
scriptable language out there ? My limited experience
in Python/Lua/javascript seem to indicate that lua is
already the fastest in most usage. For specific
functionalities, I found faster stuff in Python but
that usually is due to the fact that it is the
underlying C library it used(for that specific
function, mostly crypto related) comparing against
pure lua running luajit.
