thanks for the helps about the topic though after
further testing it seems that it is Microsoft that is
the problem.

Just some background:

I am testing the new iis/fastcgi module which is
effectively :

iis(service) -> fastcgi.dll -> lua -> my lua script

running in this way, popen() and execute() don't work
in any way. popen() would simply bomb the process.

but the following :

iis(service) -> cgi.dll ->  lua  -> my lua script

works as expected for both call.
