I can't find the original post, but in 1997 I wrote a PDB reader and
writer using Lua.  It's a wonderful 'swiss army knife' and I still use
it extensively.   Details and all source are at

P.S. If my arm were twisted I might consider bringing it up to Lua 5.1.
As long as the pisock libraries have not gotten *too* ugly...
