For what it worth, `split' function in Lrexlib produces exactly same output: - for before, match in stringx.gmatch('Hello world', 'l', true) do + for before, match in rex.split('Hello world', 'l') do "He" "l" "" "l" "o wor" "l" "d" nil -- Shmuel
