LPEG parser for C declarations?

I've been looking into making some improvements to tolua,
and it's a mystery to me how the 'cleaned header file' is parsed.
I'm wondering if anybody has or is working on an LPEG parser for
C or for a fragment of C.  (I really only need declarations
and typedefs.)   I tried a search of the mailing list,
but 'lpeg parser' didn't turn up anything, and 'C' occurs 
sufficiently frequently not to be useful in a search.
Hence this appeal :-)
