Fabien Fleutot explained in his workshop talk why this is futile.
(You had to be there though, his slides are not on the workshop site
it appears.)  Personal interpretation:  My "professional" Lua bindings
would not be suitable at all for a general audience, being very
specialized to a certain context.  That this is so easy to do is
exactly what makes Lua my language of choice.  (I think that sharing
ideas, not code, could be more interesting.)
