Hi, Diego, all,
The last release of LuaSocket was almost five years ago (2.0.2, 2007-10-13).
LuaSocket does not have official repository on GitHub (or anywhere
else, after LF shutdown, but, really who in the right mind would
consider anything but GitHub for source code hosting nowadays?).
LuaSocket has several forks. On GH there are at least two independent
fork trees:
https://github.com/sam-github/luasocket
https://github.com/LuaDist/luasocket
This not including various alternative implementations, usually
residing in a swiss-knife libraries.
I believe that LuaSocket module is very important for Lua ecosystem.
Its apparent stagnation is bad, even if it is only apparent.
Diego, would it be hard to move official LuaSocket repository to
GitHub, so we (and others) could send you some pull requests?
Please contact me off-list if you need any help. We can offer some
man/hours and/or make a donation so you could do that yourself.
Thank you,
Alexander.
