Oh good! I'd not noticed that change, but it's a good one (the downside is, of course, that questions with good answers still appear in unanswered lists). Looking at questions with no answers might be an alternative for people who want to contribute without having to review too much irrelevancy.
I've found SO really useful. My day job tends to involve stuff with a eclectic mix of technologies (alas, with little to no lua nowadays), so single-product mailing lists and forums haven't been that useful.
And as an old fogey I find I can answer quite a bit there too, again where there's a mix of topics.
