I lack the time and expertise to be a part of the maintenance team
proper, but I can help with setting this up to the extent that I'm an
admin in the keplerproject Github group, if Diego so desires.

Taking a quick look at the most recent merges I see familiar usernames
from people who are quite active in the community and who I'm sure
would make a great maintenance team for LuaSocket: :)
