Thank you for the invitation to join this list on Google-Groups.

Personally I would prefer to stay away from Google at any cost ... even at the cost of loosing the chance to be part of this group.

I am fed up seeing that as good as every webpage on the Internet stops me on a slow connection from getting the information I am seeking by downloading tons of Google scripts and other trash content of no use for me first.

Sorry for not being ready to sponsor new hosting, but ... my overall Internet experience makes me quite sure that it should be possible to find enough supporters making a move to an independent provider possible.

Thank you for the opportunity of being part of this mailing list up to now. I hope that the Happy New Year 2024 will come with an appropriate option and a new independent provider ... and if not ... it's ok - looking at what is going on without the chance of response is OK for me.

Have a good Christmas Time ... maybe there will be a gift of a new provider under the Christmas Tree? I wish you it will.

Be well and let every day be the best day of your life.

Claudio

A new host for lua.org will be announced soon.

As part of the migration of lua.org to a new host, we'll be moving
this list to Google Groups:
https://groups.google.com/g/lua-l/

The new list is already online and there is a message there welcoming everyone.
Please let's move the traffic there.

We'll try to send invitations to all current subscribers, but it may
take a while.
You can just go ahead and join the new lua-l at the URL above.

The address to post to the new lua-l is lua-l@googlegroups.com.

The mailing list page at Lua web site will be updated soon:
https://www.lua.org/lua-l.html

Thank you for participating in lua-l. We hope to see you all at the new list.
