Fabio Mascarenhas [1] is an Assistant Professor at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, and a PhD alumnus of PUC-Rio, and his dissertation advisor was RobertoIerusalimschy. His research interests include dynamic programming languages, virtual machines, self-hosting and reflective systems, and programming language abstractions for concurrent and web programming.
He is also an active member of the Lua community and the author and/or maintainer of several Lua libraries. Some of his projects:
