Mostly, I'm asking for Lua to keep supporting the simpler Lua 4-style table looping.

I don't mind if new functionality is added (as it has been). That's all fine and dandy.

But I do mind if in the process we somehow lose the simplicity and ease-of-use that we had previously.

Is my request unreasonable?
