LuaGnome: gdk_pixbuf_new_from_data and related not found

I've just downloaded the latest version from Github and compiled, and
(after some messing with header files[1]) it compiled and installed
without a problem, but some functions are missing.
gdk.pixbuf_new_from_data and gdk.pixbuf_new_from_file are two I've
found. This even causes the built-in test (#36) to fail. Has anyone
managed to make this work?
